Ah, AI—it’s a hot topic these days. While some people worry that AI will make content feel robotic, I believe it’s an amazing tool that can help so many people save time without losing their authentic voice. Today, I’m going to show you how you can use AI as your content assistant while still keeping things you.
The AI Controversy: Why Some Love It and Some Hate It
Let’s get real—AI can be a little controversial. Some folks think it strips content of its personality, while others swear by it as a time-saving miracle. The key here is balance. You can use AI to do the heavy lifting when it comes to brainstorming, outlining, and even generating initial drafts, but you are still the magic behind it all.
One thing I will definitely note here: AI pulls information from everywhere and it’s not yet policed – so that means that if an artist has created something and a digital rendition has been uploaded somewhere by someone (even not that artist), that creation could be used by AI to create a graphic. Same with books, etc. So, I always, ALWAYS use it as a guiding point, but not the actual end product. I’ve been hesitant to even try the image generators.
AI Can Be Your Assistant, Not Your Replacement!
Think of AI like a helpful assistant. It can give you a nudge in the right direction when you’re feeling stuck, but it should never replace your creativity or voice. Use it for tasks like generating blog post titles, outlines, or coming up with content ideas—but remember to add your personal touch to everything it produces.
3. Step-by-Step: Using AI to Generate Titles, Outlines, and Ideas
Here’s a simple process for using AI:
- Start with a topic you want to write about.
- Use an AI tool (such as Jasper, ChatGPT, or any other generator) to brainstorm a list of blog titles related to your topic.
- Once you’ve chosen a title, ask the AI to create an outline or talking points for that topic.
- Now that you have a framework, you can fill in the details with your own knowledge, stories, and voice.

Warning: Make Sure to Add Your Personal Touch
One thing you need to be cautious about with AI is that it can sound repetitive, generic, and completely sensational. That’s why it’s important to go back through and tweak the content, ensuring that it reflects your unique voice and ideas. Your audience follows you for your personality and insight, so don’t let AI overshadow that!
AI can be a powerful tool in your content creation toolbox, especially as a busy solopreneur. Use it to help generate ideas, outline content, and make the process smoother—but always remember to add your personal voice. With the right balance, AI can save you time while still allowing you to connect with your audience in an authentic way.
